Goldstar

Goldstar – 'Class A' Tone for Home or Studio

DESCRIPTION

The MJW Goldstar is a single ended Class A amplifier which can be ordered with a 6V6 output valve for 5 Watts, or an EL34 for 10 Watts output. It uses 2 ECC83 valves in the preamp. The TT switchable boost is now standard, and has it’s own level control. The Goldstar has gain, treble, middle, bass, and volume controls to produce a range of sounds from clean chime through raunchy crunch, up to a saturated distortion.

Using hand-wired, turret board construction methods, the amp is available as a head, or a 1x10 or 1x12 combo.

Also Available: The Goldstar SS, a no-compromise, high-gain practise and studio beast, with searing leads, tight metal and hard rock rhythm sounds, and long sustain. With 4 gain stages, it has more gain than the standard Goldstar, and a more aggressive sound.

What our customers say

Just let me say again how awesome the Goldstar sounds...stunning. It's the only amp I've ever played where every time I turn it on I like it even more.
Y.M., Bristol
The Goldstar is bloody lovely mate. Really clear and responsive, crunches up nice and it responds really well to pedals. All without ripping your eardrums apart in the house. Just spot on exactly what I was after. Chuffed to bits with it. Many thanks!
J.A., Normanton
You are a real amp whisperer!!!
I have had so many amps before but I like this one the best.
W.H., Netherlands
Exquisite hand built amp, a real jewel.
S.H., Shropshire
I found the Goldstar dynamic and responsive, with the EL34 delivering just the right amount of overdrive and tone for my needs. Front panel layout is excellent and it is surprisingly punchy for a 10 watt amp.
I don't use any pedals or effects, with me its just plug in and play, so the Compact size and power scaling makes this an ideal amp for me to use for rehearsals and small Gigs with 1 x 12 cab.
Pleasure dealing with Martin throughout the build, great advice and contact.
